Chinese New Year 2009

Many looks forward for this day.... but there are some whom didnt want it to come so early... lolx.. but i guess i'm the one who belongs to the one looking forward for today.. CNY!!!~

But then it was damn tiring lor... last few days were already starting to prepare for the food and ingredients for tonight dinner... been helping out with mum to prepare them too... abit know how to cook already lor... ^_^

As early as 2pm.. my relatives start coming over one family by another... my father side got 3 sisters and 4 brothers (hope i'm right... =pP).. and 2 brothers were not around le.. so there are total of 5 families... adding on with my cousins and their families.... alot of new generations under me... and plus some of thier cousins.. etc.. total up can easily reach over 100 ppl came over to gather in my house... exaggerated?? nah... come and see if you dont believe!~

Anyway... recieved tons of red packets for this year... i already getting paiseh collecting red packets from my relatives liao... =((

Great Time @ Kelvin's Place

Before we went to Kelvin's place... We (mimo, Xiaoxia, Abi and Snoopy) went down to the Teochew restarant to makan dinner and also to give xiaoxia a small celebration for his bday which falls on the 1st Feb... Happy Birthday Bro!~

Actually i dun understand why would I do that funny pose with Snoopy lor... even i see now i still feel that person is not me... perhaps i'm just "high" le...

Really had a great time playing with them yesterday over at Kelvin's place... XiaoXia brought his Wii over to his place and whole night we were playing the Wii... actually we reached there quite late already... i think about 11plus le... then we play and play without realizing the time was passing very fast.. It was already 4 plus and we are still having a good time there...

We played quite alot of games inside the Wii and we challenged each other for most of the games... the most funniest part was always on Abigale lor.... she still that blur blur de lor... haha... hopefully i can grab the picture and videos that we took yest night and i'll post it up here...

Initially I tot i will feel weird seeing them together.. but then i was acting quite different when i see them... i can still joke around with them.. perhaps I already put down the feeling and then treat her as normal friends le bah... haha.. but still on the way back home after XiaoXia dropped me at the busstop... i cant stop thinking about it... be friend can be ever-lasting but it may be different if being together... perhaps i'm still not ready for it bah...

The day is coming

Finally after almost 3 weeks of my course in Kranji camp.. it is going to mark an end to it by this coming friday... why i write so early?? lolx.. that is because today was the "finale" which is the final AOS exam... it was a 4hrs paper lor.. and everyone was so shag after the exam and did not want to carry on the last exercise... I finally "tong" until now... almost everyday went to the camp restlessly and aimlessly... I didnt want to attend this course de.. but it was nice to know those young fathers inside there...

Honestly they makes me so yearning to be one too.. =)) haha... and Tan CC has just welcomed his new baby girl on Monday... guess he was super duper stress during the paper... coz he missed the most important lecture on monday...

Anyway.. Hope that everyone will pass the paper and graduate together... haha.. Friday there is a ceremony for the graduation... lolx.. i guess we need to wear quite formal on that day bah... looking forward wor!!~~

But then i abit scared of going back to the office to face the "reality"... but then i guess I should force myself to face it bah... ^_^

Poly Gathering @ Miramar Hotel

After the embarrassing moment @ SiJia's place... I took a ride from Zhutou to the nearest MRT... haha... thinking about taking a cab down when I reached Clarke Quay... then when on the way.. Janice Jie sms me asking if i'm going too... so I arranged to meet her and go together... thinking she will go... but in the end used my GPS to track where the hotel is... and luckily is within walking distance...
I reached there at about 6:30pm and the organizer (Seng Giap) was late lor... and everyone is waiting for him to begin... it was a buffet style.. but then most of them are deep fried and make us feel very "gilak" after awhile...

However.. it is not the food lah... it is the gathering that we looking forward too.. there are many of them that i rarely meet up and then had a nice chat with them... I was already very tired... but then i still follow them for a drink near Cuppage centre after the dinner...

iPhone Gathering on Friday Nite

It was actually a gathering for those iPhone holder... but sadly to say.. the gathering turns into a mahjong sessions in the end. Initially there wasnt any gathering to begin with... it's all started when i wanted to help Vivian to Jailbreak her iPhone so that she can play her fav game DinerDash. But then when I mentioned that she need to come my place for the wireless.. she sounds abit uncomfortable.

So in order not to be so wierd... I jioed Joven and Qi together and configure together... Joven wanted to re-break as his phone still unable to upload 3rd party games. and Qi wanted to upgrade his version to 2.2....

Then in the afternoon Joven asked if want to play MJ as well... as Jinhao & Pat will be joining us too... i was like (-_-) but in the end I agreed...

Then after my lecture in SIM... I meet up Qi in sch and then went down to fetch Joven and Vivian to my place... we tried to configure till around 1am but there is still having some problem... then Hao and Pat was siting there waiting for us to play MJ... then after I completed my part to break 2.2 version for vivian... it is Qi's turn to help her install the rest of the programs. So me and Joven started the MJ...

Halfway thru.. Qi came into the room and told me that vivian's phone cannot access wireless internet and i found out it is one of the bug that was mentioned in the forums.... so suay leh her.. and even worst her lappy low batt already... then I couldnt help her to reconfigure again and couldnt complete her jail breaking... Zzzz... Then I promised her that I'll reserve my Sunday to help her configure complete her iPhone... hehe.. shouldnt have agreed to play MJ that nite...........

Long-Lost Friend

It was another tiring day in the lecture in the camp... but I was so looking forward to the evening.. becoz I'll be meeting the long-lost friend.. Cindy Ong!!~~ haha... actually not long-lost friend lah... we still in contact... but rarely met up lor... so just nice she tonight is available and agreed to meet me...

Haha... I drove all the way to Potong Pasir to meet her... luckily I still remember the road that XiaoXia took when he fetch me to his place for New Year Eve countdown... and yeah... i didnt missed the exit and just nice reached there by 8:30pm...

I was waiting so eagerly in the car and finally she was walking out... when she sit into my car.. i realise that she got slightly skinnier than the last time I saw her... hmmm.. already forget when le.. but it happened in 2008... so not very long... By then I was already very hungry... and since she didnt suggest any nice place nearby to eat.. I decided to go ChompChomp there to eat... and funny lor.. she live nearby but didnt know what is ChompChomp... but she know it is in Serangoon Garden...

She wasnt very hungry at that time... but she still eat with me... We ordered the prawn noodles... Rojak.. Carrot Cake and the most important items... SugarCane water!~ didnt manage to take pics of the food... but at least I remembered to take pics with her to make it the iPhone profile.. and not forgetting to take pics together...

Actually this is the nicest of about 20pics that I tried to take... haha... it may not be one of her best photos... but i like it very much!!~ Yeah!~~

After the dinner.. we went down to a coffeeshop near her blocks and continue our chat there... she still as usual slept inside my car... and especially memorable when I wake her up... it was like 3-4 yrs ago lor... haha.. but so sad that she still smokes now... at least she did went to dentist to clean her teeth... Anyway.. finally resolve her mystery of "Jackpot" thingy... makes me thinks so much.. thot she was really selling jackpots lor... pui... been bluffing me all the while...

Ops.. it getting late now.. and I still need to write the reviews for my course... looking forward on Thurs to go skating with her and with the rest (Xiao Fang/Joven/Patrick) in the evening... She havent confirm yet... but really wish that she'll come... but I have to make sure she dun see "red" on that day... =X

61st ULOG Course

Today I went back to Kranji Camp III to attend my first logistic course organised by the School of Logistics... so coincidently... my NS unit was at the same place as well... it is great to see all those familiar faces again back in the camp with my unifom on... but something "big" happened to the Signal Platoon... and the environment there was quite tensed... so I didnt have the chance to talk to my ex- Ops Sgt Lee Tong... but then I'll still see them for the next 3 weeks.. so there is always a chance to chat with them...

I was assigned to the course... to be honest... i'm quite afraid of the upcoming appointment that I might be taking after this course... Understand from the course module that it is to prep for S4 or MTO vocations...

I know i'm not ready for all these... knowing that I may get a higher appointment in my current unit... especially recent incident really depletes my confident level to the minimum... i dunno how to face anything now... even for the course... i know i am just crawling my way thru the course...

Zhutou know what is happening to me... she consulted me as much as she could... but still the feelings arent gone yet... guess it will take times to heal... after this blog.. there shall be no more mentioned of their names... perhaps is escaping from reality... perhaps is another way not to think about it and try my very best to get over the feelings for the next 3 weeks.. By then I should and i MUST be ready to face them...

My sch is going to start soon on 13th Jan... my time is gonna get very very tight again with assignments, projects, revisions and then exams.... have to cool down my mind now and prep for the modules... havent even bought the textbooks yet... perhaps doesnt need on the first day...

My knee... already book an appointment with the MO thru the medical centre... easier to get a referral letter to specialist.. and may waive away my consultation fees.. really got to check out for the real reasons behind my knee and not to joke around with it... especially after chatting with those senior officers who are attending the same courses as me... they warned me better get my knee checked up...

It's time to buck up dude!!~

Emotional Day

Got a very emotional news in the afternoon... I tot i gave up long time ago... but i dunno why i still got emotionalized the whole afternoon... I know I cant stay at home for long.. if not i sure raise my temper on them... so I quickly get out of the house and find a place to go... My very first thoughts: to East Coast Park... only hearing and looking at the wave breaks onto the shore can cool my temper down....

Yeah indeed... got very emotional initially and wanted to tears... but quite alot of ppl there... so I didnt... had a chat with XiaoFang (phonecall) and also my sis Melissa (SMS) to talk things out... it's great to share emotion with friends.... Fortunately/Unfortunately... I w0nt be able to see them for the next 3 weeks... guess I can cool down my emotions before I face them back in the office...

Tempted by XiaoFang... when I passby one of the roller blade store beside the Macdonald.. I was surprised that the rental was only $7 for 2 hours which inclusive the socks and those protection gears... so since time is still early... i decided to rent it for 2 hours and there I go... of coz without the protection gears...

I was whoppling for the first 10-20mins coz it has been quite some time since I last skated... I confirm will regret not to take the protection gear if I fall... but luckily I didnt fall with only some occasions of near misses... hehe... So I started off from Macdonald all the way to bedok jetty and a little bit forward... i saw the new garden that was still in construction during the last time I passby there... so now there is new gallery there... i didnt manage to go up because of the circling slopes... so I just took a pics of it below... nice huh??

I also passby the foodcourt and I stopped myself for a break and have a nice coconut drinks... haha... and I did recall the scene I had with them in BKK... haha... emotional huh... so I quickly finish it up and off I go...

I shouldnt be blading at all actually... when I tried to bend and rest my hand on my knee... i can sense the trembling that my knee is enduring... ha~ luckily there isnt any side effects after that... and even have.. i also wont bother... who else will bother about my knee?? just let them breakoff bah....

That's all for today... now must quickly finish up the Mac meal I bought.. and rush down to Tamp to meet the guys for some Bucking nite....

Day 2 (19 Dec 2008)

Poor XiaoMei who has to wake up at 5:30am... coz we agreed to have breakfast by 7am in the morning with zhutou and schnappi... haha.. Kiat took quite sometime and finally manage to drag XiaoMei out of the bed... By then I was already awaken by them already... shag... And we went down on time to the nearby cafe to have the "American" breakfast... it is not that fascinating but still edible... just that XiaoMei found some bugs in the cucumber but she still eat them... yucks!~ lolx...

After the breakfast... we were discussing how should we be going to our first destination Bo-bae Market.. Coz XiaoMei has to go there to pass some goods to one of her father's partner... then one cab driver approached us and mentioned that he can drive us to any destination with only 50bahts... it was consider cheap already... but with another agreement that we need to visit some visitor's place before fetching us to Bo-bae... That guy told us that we need not buy anything but just to walk a few rounds and he will get a stamps for discount in petrol.. and also a piece of gold if he manage to clock enough ppl... Since the time was still early.. we agreed to visit those places first... but before that I mentioned that we must go to the famous 4-head Budhha to pray for a safe trip ahead... I think he brought us to the one outside Continental Hotel and 3 of us (Abi, Kiat & Me) prayed....

After that we went to two different places... firstly the Jewellery shop.. and the price there was super shocking... cant even get anything with the money I exchanged (9000 Bahts)... lolx.. but it was an eye-opener for us bah... the jewelleries there were fantastic... and the next place was those sourvenir shops... which has 4 storeys that sector each level on different type of sourvenirs... from hand-made... to jewelleries... to leather/silks product and food corner... In both shops... we were "entertained" by their salesperson there... after tons and tons of lousy english conversation and some criticising sentences from their mouth... Kiat actually started to get pissed by one of the salesperson... lolx.. and in fact... I was quite unhappy with her criticising words lor...

Not gonna get our day spoiled because of them... and the cab bring us to our destination, Bo-bae. While on the way... we had quite a good chat with him.. and XiaoMei took a pic with him... Anyway... his name is Nikom... and we took his namecards if there is any chance that we going to Bangkok again.. I will approach him again...

It wasnt a good day for Abi... coz she left her goods inside the cab!!!~ She was quite panick and afraid that she couldnt recover back her goods despite our confirmation that the cab driver will come back again the next day morning for us again... Although after that she cool down... I can see that she still feeling quite uncomfortable for the whole day and keep thinking what will happen if Nikom did not appear the next day... But still... we went into the mall and start our shopping spree...

Actually the items there wasnt very fantastic.. quite disappointed but Abi told us that actually that place wasnt for us de... but i think Zhutou got one traditional white shirt over there... We didnt stayed there for long... and after Abi settled her things there, which was to ask that person to come to the hotel to collect the packages the next day morning, we then make our way out of that mall.

Abi remembered that there is a boat quay nearby where we can ride on it and reach our next destination: Platinum Fashion Mall. After 5 mins walk.. we manage to find the quay and the boat came in a few mins.. the cost for each person was only 8 bahts... The boat is actually travelling along a river which has a width that can accomodate 2 boats... and the water is actually splashing outside which luckily blocked by the "blue" plastic... Even I sit at the centre.. i can still feel the water splashing on me... Zzzz... and the water isnt very clean lor...

And so.. we reached the Platinum Mall in the afternoon and started our shopping spree there... it is a 7 storeys of stores that suit our taste... And we shopped till 3 plus before we start eating our lunch... by then.. i already bought 2 bermudas.. 2 shirts and 2 tees... By then we already very hungry.. just take a look at our table:

After that we went back to our Hotel to offload our things and wanted to go to Suan Lam Night Bazaar to have our dinner there... When we went down to the Hotel lobby... another cab driver approached us.. we mentioned that we want to go Suan Lam... but that cab driver told us that there was a traffic jam and very hard to go into the night bazaar... and he said that he can bring us somewhere near the night bazaar to have our dinner there... and is only walking distance to Suan Lam... we thought since it is near... so why not finish our dinner and we walk there... and we boarded that cab... in the end.. we ended up at a "high-end" seafood restaurant which sell their fried rice for 300bahts!!~ which is more than S$10!!! kaoz... we didnt order anything and we just walk off... still thinking that Suan Lam is nearby but it wasnt anywhere in sight...

So while figuring where were we in the map... another cab driver came over and offered his help.. he actually told us that the night bazaar was closed... I didnt really believed him but we still boarded the cab... thinking that he may still bring us to other places to shop for our night... but in the end.. we end up inside another seafood restaurant... the first thing i did there was to ask the waiter over there if the night bazaar was really closed... and surprisingly.. that waiter told me it is still opened!!~ damn idiotic cab driver.... and the seafood restaurant still offer 300bahts for fried rice lor... haiz... so we got so pissed... and walked off... singing that the road was actually quite quiet there... we "lan lan" has to engage another cab driver... and insisted that we only wanted to go Suan Lam Night Bazaar for any price... and he actually quoted us 180bahts!!~

We manage drop the prices to 80/100bahts.. then we board the cab... and the ride to Suan Lum was considered far lor... really got tricked by 2 cab drivers in a night alone... but at least we finally reached the bazaar... and of coz.. had our dinner there.... cheap and nice... hahah... that place didnt sell much clothes.. but they do sell alot of furnitures... i got myself a red/black strip belt and a red/black covers for those cushions in my living room and one in the office...

At the end of the day... When we reached back to the hotel... Abi and Kiat already tire out and only wanted to faster bath and slp for the night... but Zhutou, Schnappi & I got plans after we bathed... we went down to a foot massage shop below our hotel to have our leg massaged... it was the first time I tried.. and really got very uncomfortable with ppl touching my foot... and most of the time... I'll kick whoever tried to meddle with my foot.. but I forced myself to stay calm.. and enjoyed the massage..

New 320GB Seagate Portable Harddisk

The weather outside was so great with cold breeze blowing into my window, and I was sitting near the balcony with the fan blowing directly on me. Suddenly got the urge to experience the cool breeze at East Coast Park and I start asking around for companion to the nearby Macdonald, but once I sent out the last SMS, then I realise it was already very late at about eleven in the night. So I simply dropped the idea, knowing that no one will want to come out at this time.

I start digging out what I can do at home and realize that I need to do a "stress" test on the new harddisk I bought from Seagate. The new harddisk has a slightly bigger size of 320GB space compared to the one I bought in 2008 Computer Fair of 160GB for over $100. And guess what is price for the new harddisk?! It's only $88!!!

I got this special deal from Desmond, he has a friend working in Seagate and grabbed the deal for us. But heard from Desmond that he got his one to inter-exchange after he tried to play a video in the harddisk and it simply crashed...

And so.... the test result till now is still successful... the harddisk are still working fine despite downloading over 100GB of data into it and played a small video from it. Think I'm gonna remove the data in it now and place all my pictures in it.

Oh yah... and the new harddisk had a security features that prompt password login before allowing access into the drive... good one to place personal documents into the harddisk... ^_^
